Self-managing teams for sustainable growth and job satisfaction
The quality of our organization is shaped by our people. Together with Ontwikkelingwijzer we started the ‘Self-managing Teams WPK’ project. The objective of this project is to create a clear and sustainable organization within which our employees can develop. For us, self-management means that employees can and may make their own decisions based on their knowledge and skills – helped by colleagues and supported by managers. Increasing your quality and being able to demonstrate your talent leads to job satisfaction. All these elements belong to a sustainable personnel policy.
The European Social Fund (ESF) co-finances our project on self-managing teams. Our employees take on a challenge within the project. Together we have formulated a goal on how to make our organization even stronger. Building a team with a clear goal requires clear agreements, a good consultation structure and the right feedback. By involving all parties, understanding has been created for each other’s roles and we have thought together about optimizing this collaboration.
The managers were guided during this project to facilitate the team with time, space, resources and information. By working on our foundation, there will be space and time for innovation and organizational development.
WPK strives for an organization where everyone develops their talents and can use them as much as possible. In our view, this leads to pleasure, performance and growth.
